WAIS was formed in 2001 to continue the long history of its founding associations and their predecessors of providing for the professional needs of WA Surveyors.

WAIS is well known and well respected and has a code of ethics that members must adhere to. As a state based professional association, it has very low overheads and is nimble and responsive.

WAIS focusses on the needs of WA surveyors, without the distraction of the needs of other professional callings, and provides services on an overall cost recovery basis.

The vast majority of WAIS members are from private practice with hands on business experience. The WAIS Board members are all experienced surveyors of differing specialisations and a valuable resource for members.

WAIS, with over 220 members, has the vast majority of WA practising surveyors as members.
